Fine Mesh
Fine mesh woven wire cloth is used in thousands of applications requiring small particle size screening, sorting, sieving, classifying, sizing and separating. Fine mesh screens may be provided complete with screen-edge treatments.
When selecting a mesh, the mesh count is the most important thing to keep in mind. The mesh count is the open area between wires and can be expressed as a whole number, a fraction or as two numbers. A whole number and fraction indicate the distance between the centers of both horizontal and vertical parallel wires. Two numbers such as 30 * 30 indicate the actual number of openings per liner inch, both vertically and horizontally.
Key points to consider when specifying wire mesh:
- The number of apertures per lineal 1.0 in. / 25.4 mm
- The clear space between the wires forming the mesh
