Injection and Compression

Johnson Screens® injection- and compression-molded rubber panels can be manufactured with a variety of aperture sizes, shapes and fixing systems including pin-style, poly-snap, clamp bar and bolt on, depending on your specific needs.

Rubber screen panels are available in either 40 durometer (more flexible for fine- sizing applications that have sticky fines) or 65 durometer (stiffer for coarse scalping applications). Each panel type has been specially developed to address specific ore production problems.

Compression-molded screen panels can be produced from one of the specialty rubber compounds that have been developed by our R & D department. These compounds feature exceptional abrasion resistance, high tensile strength and excellent protection from cuts and tears. Our sales engineers can advise you of the most suitable compound for your application. These panels can be supplied in sizes ranging from 1.38 in. / 35 mm up to 4.33 in. / 110 mm thick.

Injection-molded rubber screening panels are designed for high impact or high moisture screening applications. Opening sizes range from 0.08 in. / 2 mm up to 9.06 in. / 230 mm in a variety of aperture shapes. Screen panel thickness options range from 1.18 in. / 30 mm to 3.94 in. / 100 mm.

The benefits of injection-molded rubber modular panels include:

  • Large open area for high-impact scalping operations
  • Dramatically reduced pegging and blinding in high moisture dry applications
  • Less frequent maintenance stoppages, particularly in scalping operations
  • More than 200 different square and slotted-aperture sizes.
  • Suitable for high wear applications and machine beam protection
  • Available in high performance Vibex and VR aperture formats
