Injection Molded Panels

Injection molded polyurethane screening surfaces have been designed by Johnson Screens for many years and have proven to be economical due to shorter production lead times, long wear life and low maintenance requirements.

Our injection molded polyurethane panels are made from specially formulated polyurethanes. Formulations are also available to reduce the risk of bacteria attack due to water quality, calcification and heavy medium build-ups underneath the panel and other metallurgical challenges. The polyurethanes are available from a 60 shore to a 90 shore harness.  

Correctly applied non-blinding polyurethane screen designs, e.g., VR, VRX or the Vibex^® can reduce or even eliminate plugging, pegging and blinding problems due to the tapered openings and resiliency of the material. 

Aperture shapes are almost unlimited, while wire cloth is typically limited to squares and rectangles, polyurethane screen apertures can be injection molded to any shape which best serves the particular application.
