Triton Underdrains Approved in UK
Johnson Screens® Triton® Underdrain Systems Approved by the UK Secretary of State for Use in Public Water Supplies.
LONDON, ENGLAND, UK, March 17, 2010 - As of the 11th of February, 2010, the UK Drinking Water Inspectorate confirmed approval was given by the “Secretary of State for England, Wales and Northern Ireland” and by the “Scottish Minister for Scotland” for the use of the Johnson Screens® Triton® stainless steel underdrain systems in UK public water supplies.
The Johnson Screens Triton underdrain is now listed in the Drinking Water Inspectorate’s list of approved products for use in public water supply in the UK. This information can be found on their website, at http://www.dwi.gov.uk/31/approvedproducts/soslist.shtm.
The Triton underdrain is used for the production of potable water with direct retention of filtering medium.
