Water Process & Fluid Treatment

Intakes for drinking water plants, fish hatcheries, industrial process water, power plant cooling water, desalination plants and many other applications require careful design consideration in order to responsibly protect the aquatic life at the intake.

The Contra-Shear inclined rotary screen (IRS) is installed at an angle of 35 degrees and is used for fine screening of sewage and industrial effluent where screening and solid extraction ability is desired within a single unit. The screen drum is constructed out of Vee-Wire^®; however, perforated plate and mesh designs are also offered. The IRS can be installed either directly in the channel or in a separate tank.

The BTU/in-line self-cleaning filter is a continuous-operation pressure filter. Heavy duty compact filters with a robust housing are designed to deliver an uninterrupted flow through stainless steel Vee-Wire^®.

The package treatment plant combines screening, grit and grease removal within a single compact unit. This space and cost-saving design is used for the pre-treatment of sewage from cesspools and Imhoff tanks.

Pump high- and low-viscosity fluids smoothly with a non-pulsating flow to protect the integrity of the pumping fluid. Our positive displacement pumps are built to last and reliably pump a wide range of fluid viscosities with ease.

Johnson Screens^® fish diversion screens are used in dam and river systems to protect fish from hydroelectric turbines and pumps. Our screens have a low-suction velocity and have been specifically designed to protect fish and other aquatic life.

The Contra-Shear^® externally fed rotary screen is ideally suited for process and wastewater streams containing high fats, oils and grease loadings.
