BTU/In-line Self-Cleaner Filter

The BTU/in-line self-cleaning filter is a continuous-operation pressure filter. Heavy duty compact filters with a robust housing are designed to deliver an uninterrupted flow through stainless steel Vee-Wire^®.

The in-line self-cleaning filter can tolerate aggressive water or wastewater streams. The cleaning function begins when solids build up increases the differential pressure to a predetermined point which opens the cleaning tube/drain valve to the atmosphere, beginning a vigorous, localized reverse flow along the full length of the backwash tube. At the same time, an electric motor rotates the backwash tube, exposing the screen surface to a complete backwash. Most systems need only 30 seconds and three revolutions for a complete cleaning. Design connection sizes ranging from 1.57 in. / 40 mm through to 29.52 in. / 750 mm and filter baskets use robust Vee-Wire stainless steel.
