Channel Screens

Johnson Screens offers channel screens for all needs in pulp and paper mills. Regardless of your application, we will be able to develop a solution for it. These channel screens come custom made, with the screening element being built according to flow and separation rate needs. Our collection of channel screens include:

Suboscreen^®
The Contra-Shear^® Suboscreen is a rotating drum which picks up the solids from the water flow, and takes those up with means of a screw, which can also be equipped with a press section to increase the dry content of the solids.

Inclined Rotary Screen
The inclined rotary screen has a screen drum and pick up screw on the same axis. It is a lower cost solution when drum and screw speeds do not need to be adjusted separately.

Centre-Flo Band Screen
The Johnson Screens^® Centre-Flo band screens are especially designed for deep channel applications.

Screenmat Step Screen
The screenmat step screen is an energy efficient solution for channels having low or variating amount of solids in the water flow. It is typically run only when solids are gathered to the screen, steered by channel level sensors.

Automatic Raked Bar Screen
The automatic raked bar screen is typically used in channels for incoming water. They are available in both cable and chain form.
