Dielectric Couplings

Johnson Screens^® dielectric coupling prevents galvanic corrosion in municipal and industrial water well completions. The corrosion that can occur when two dissimilar metals are couple in water-saturated environments can be prevented by eliminating the contact between the two metal surfaces.

The dielectric coupling uses insulating rings which separate the metals and prevent contact. This feature increases the life of the pipe and, ultimately, the life of the well. They are available for pipe sizes from 1.25 in. / 38 mm to 24 in. / 609 mm. Special sizes are available upon request.
