In-line Filters

The in-line filter screen (IFS) is an in-channel screening solution for medium- to-low flow rate and solid loading applications.

The IFS is an inclined screen capable of screening, conveying, washing and dewatering within a single unit. The screen surface is typically constructed of Vee-Wire® or perforated plate depending on the aperture required. The influent passes through the screen surface leaving behind solids greater than the screen aperture.

A shaftless or shafted screw with a heavy-duty brush wound around its circumference scrapes the screen surface clean while transferring the solids into a washing and compaction zone before discharge. The operation of the IFS is fully automated based on level differential in the channel.

The IFS is capable of handling flow rates up to 3,170 gpm / 720 m³/hr. Slots or holes sizes range from 0.01 in. / 0.25 mm to 0.24 in. / 6 mm.
