Recessed Chamber Filter Press

Recessed chamber filter presses are one of the most efficient ways to dewater and compact sludge into disposable cakes. Depending on the nature of the slurry, Johnson Screens^® filter presses are capable of dewatering sludge up to 30 to 60 percent solids. The sludge slurry is generally pumped into the press with an air diaphragm pump. The sludge slurry fills the recessed chambers and dewaters via the pressure from the feed pump. Filtrate passes through the media/filter cloth and continues out of the press. Johnson Screens filter presses produce clear filtrates and high percentage solids.
