Treatment For Reuse Of Frac Flow Back Water

Johnson Screens Fluid Treatment team just recently completed treatment for reuse of frac flow back water that was produced from the first shale gas well in Europe.  The treated water was transferred to the fresh water pond that is to be used for future frac jobs at the same site.  By providing a treatment system that delivered desired water qualities, the reused water decreased demand on local water supplies, including ground water and surface water.  The reused water also decreased the amount of water that needed to be trucked to the site, thereby reducing traffic on local roads.

Being selected to treat water for reuse at the first shale well in Europe, demonstrates Johnson Screens’ leadership role in the oil and gas field for water treatment.  As our presences expands in Europe and other locations around the globe, Johnson Screens is striving to bring new technologies to meet the demands of shale gas development.
