Triton® Underdrain System
Triton underdrain’s exceptional performance as a filter underdrain system uses Johnson Screens world renowned Vee-Wire® screen technology and our wealth of filtration technology experience. Available in stainless steel and in PVC, Triton underdrains offer maximum surface area to optimize filtration efficiency.
The Triton underdrain is designed for the collection and distribution of water with direct retention of filtering media. The Triton design is essentially stainless steel Vee-Wire wound around and welded to U-shaped channel rods. The design ensures a very robust construction. Plugging problems are considerably reduced as the “V” opening allows only two-point particle contact.
The Triton system is the ideal alternative to the nozzle filter bottoms; it provides the solidity and maximum surface area required to optimize the efficiency of treatment equipment.
Flexibility-Adaptability
- Because of its simple implementation qualities, Triton is easily adapted to existing filters. As there is no requirement for space between the concrete floor and collectors, the Triton system permits increased depth of media
