Johnson Screens^® male × female flush joint threaded Shur-Grip PVC pipe offers trouble-free installation of large diameter PVC thanks to a unique holding groove which encircles the female end. Available in both casing and slotted screen, it runs up to 20 ft. / 6.1 m in length. 

Johnson Screens^® stainless steel drive points are highly resistant to corrosive waters, avoiding problems of rapid corrosion and incrustation that can occur in two-metal construction. The ‘Guardian Plate’ is a stainless steel plate which shields the interface between the stainless steel body and the mild steel point.

More commonly used in shallow wells, Johnson Screens Vee-Wire PVC sonic-welded well screens present higher open area for given slot size than any other non-metallic screen available while still having the reliability that you expect from Johnson Screens.

Johnson Screens’ solution to improve the gravel pack is the Muni-Pak screen. It simplifies the contractor’s work, improves the chance for successful development and offers long-term benefits. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and increased strength, the Muni-Pak. 

• Utilizes a smaller borehole

Johnson Screens offers a slotted PVC well screen in addition to our Vee-Wire^® PVC well screens. Manufactured from ASTM D1784 and D1785 pipes, ASTM - F480 and NTP threads are available.

A sister product to the stainless steel Muni-Pak™, the PVC Vee-Pack contains an integral gravel pack that is held in place between two concentric screens. Advantages to the Vee-Pack include smaller bore hole, reduced cuttings disposal and sediment-free sampling.

The Vee-Pack has a factory-installed re-sieved silica sand filter pack that is uniform and without voids, and the sonic-welded construction eliminates solvents which can affect sample integrity.

Pipe based screen combines the hydraulic efficiency of a continuous slot screen with the strength of a pipe. This pipe strength allows smaller wrap wires to be used, yielding greater open area. Longitudinal support rods direct inflow to the nearest pipe perforation. Screen and pipe are welded together to make a rugged, reliable unit for deep vertical wells and long, horizontal remediation of supply wells.
